Water Vapour Absorption Tester UI-FT18

Water Vapour Absorption Tester is suitable to test water vapour absorption of all kinds of leather. This tester is a metal circular container Volume 100cm³ as per ISO 20344. For Water Vapour coefficient test, water vapour permeability tester is also needed.

Principle: An impermeable material and the test piece are clamped over the opening of a metal container, which holds 50m of water, for the duration of the test.Water absorption of the test piece is determined by the difference in its mass before(m1) and after(m2) the test.

The test is carried out in (23±2)℃ and (50±5)%RH.Place the sample inside of the bottle which contains 50ml water. And then remove the sample after 8 hours, weight the sample immediately.

Calculation: W1=(m2-m1)/a

(W1= the water vapour absorption, in mg/cm2; m1= the initial mass of the test piece, in mg; m2 is the final mass of the test piece, in mg; a = the surface area, in Cm²)
